WhatsApp Fonts

Instant fonts for your WhatsApp name, about or group name โ€” the tool is right below, no sign-up needed.

20+ Unicode styles update as you type โ€” tap Copy on any row.

How to use on WhatsApp

  1. Type your text above and tap Copy on the style you like.
  2. Open WhatsApp and go to Settings > your profile > Name or About.
  3. Paste into profile name or About and save โ€” the style stays because these are real Unicode characters.

Measured: what each style does to your text

Every number below comes from running the styles in this page's tool over the same test word, WhatsApp (8 UTF-16 units). "Units" is how apps actually count a field: characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (most emoji, some decorative letters) count as two. Plain text is the baseline at 1.00×.

Circled81.00×โ“Œโ“—โ“โ“ฃโ“ขโ’ถโ“Ÿโ“Ÿ
Small Caps81.00×Wสœแด€แด›๊œฑAแด˜แด˜

4 of the 6 styles come out longer than plain text โ€” because the replacement letters live outside the Basic Multilingual Plane and cost two UTF-16 units each. Bold (Serif) is the most expensive at 2.00×, so a name that barely fits a fixed field limit in plain letters will not fit in that style. Shorten the word first, then switch styles.

The other 2 (Circled, Small Caps) replace each letter one-for-one, so they never change the length of your text. If a field is already tight, start from these and only reach for the combining styles where there is room to spare.

Which characters actually get styled

Not every style covers every key. The table runs all 62 letters and digits through each style and lists what stays as plain text โ€” those are the characters that will look out of place in the middle of a styled word.

Small Caps25/62ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZx0123456789

4 of 6 styles cover the full set. The uneven ones are the small-caps family and superscript/subscript, where Unicode simply never defined those glyphs โ€” Italic scores lowest at 52 of 62. Lowercase letters are usually the first gap: many styles only exist as uppercase blocks, so they map lowercase onto capital shapes and leave punctuation untouched.

Practically: type the word you want with WhatsApp in mind and check it in the preview above before copying. If a letter refuses to change, it is a coverage gap in the style, not a bug in the tool โ€” switch to a neighbouring style that covers the full set.

FAQ

Do these fonts work on WhatsApp?

Yes โ€” WhatsApp also has built-in *bold* and _italic_ markup; Unicode styles work in names where markup is not allowed. Just copy and paste; no app or font install needed.

How do I change my profile name or About on WhatsApp?

Copy a style or symbol here, then go to Settings > your profile > Name or About and paste it in.

What if WhatsApp rejects the paste or shows boxes?

Two causes, one check each. Length: styled text can run 2-3 times the units of plain text, so shorten the word and retry before assuming the field is blocked. Glyphs: pasting into profile name or About goes through the app's own font, and rare symbols fall back to a hollow box there. Switch to bold, italic, small-caps or plain ASCII symbols, which render on essentially every device.
