Minecraft Fonts

Instant fonts for your Minecraft server MOTD, signs or chat โ€” the tool is right below, no sign-up needed.

20+ Unicode styles update as you type โ€” tap Copy on any row.

How to use on Minecraft

  1. Type your text above and tap Copy on the style you like.
  2. Open Minecraft and go to a sign, book or anvil rename in-game.
  3. Paste into sign text or server MOTD and save โ€” the style stays because these are real Unicode characters.

Measured: what each style does to your text

Every number below comes from running the styles in this page's tool over the same test word, Minecraft (9 UTF-16 units). "Units" is how apps actually count a field: characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (most emoji, some decorative letters) count as two. Plain text is the baseline at 1.00×.

Circled91.00×โ“‚โ“˜โ“โ“”โ“’โ“กโ“โ“•โ“ฃ

3 of the 6 styles come out longer than plain text โ€” because the replacement letters live outside the Basic Multilingual Plane and cost two UTF-16 units each. Monospace is the most expensive at 2.00×, so a name that barely fits a fixed field limit in plain letters will not fit in that style. Shorten the word first, then switch styles.

The other 3 (Small Caps, Wide / Fullwidth, Circled) replace each letter one-for-one, so they never change the length of your text. If a field is already tight, start from these and only reach for the combining styles where there is room to spare.

Which characters actually get styled

Not every style covers every key. The table runs all 62 letters and digits through each style and lists what stays as plain text โ€” those are the characters that will look out of place in the middle of a styled word.

Wide / Fullwidth62/62โ€”
Circled62/62โ€”
Small Caps25/62ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZx0123456789

5 of 6 styles cover the full set. The uneven ones are the small-caps family and superscript/subscript, where Unicode simply never defined those glyphs โ€” Small Caps scores lowest at 25 of 62. Lowercase letters are usually the first gap: many styles only exist as uppercase blocks, so they map lowercase onto capital shapes and leave punctuation untouched.

Practically: type the word you want with Minecraft in mind and check it in the preview above before copying. If a letter refuses to change, it is a coverage gap in the style, not a bug in the tool โ€” switch to a neighbouring style that covers the full set.

FAQ

Do these fonts work on Minecraft?

Yes โ€” Minecraft Java Edition renders most Unicode; Bedrock support varies by device font. Just copy and paste; no app or font install needed.

How do I change my sign text or server MOTD on Minecraft?

Copy a style or symbol here, then go to a sign, book or anvil rename in-game and paste it in.

What if Minecraft rejects the paste or shows boxes?

Two causes, one check each. Length: styled text can run 2-3 times the units of plain text, so shorten the word and retry before assuming the field is blocked. Glyphs: pasting into sign text or server MOTD goes through the app's own font, and rare symbols fall back to a hollow box there. Switch to bold, italic, small-caps or plain ASCII symbols, which render on essentially every device.
