Kawaii WhatsApp Fonts

Instant kawaii fonts for your WhatsApp name, about or group name — the tool is right below, no sign-up needed.

20+ Unicode styles update as you type — tap Copy on any row.

How to use on WhatsApp

  1. Type your text above and tap Copy on the style you like.
  2. Open WhatsApp and go to Settings > your profile > Name or About.
  3. Paste into profile name or About and save — the style stays because these are real Unicode characters.

Measured: what each style does to your text

Every number below comes from running the styles in this page's tool over the same test word, kawaii (6 UTF-16 units). "Units" is how apps actually count a field: characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (most emoji, some decorative letters) count as two. Plain text is the baseline at 1.00×.

StyleUnitsvs plainkawaii, styled
Circled61.00×ⓚⓐⓦⓐⓘⓘ
Script122.00×𝓀𝒶𝓌𝒶𝒾𝒾
Small Caps61.00×ᴋᴀᴡᴀɪɪ
Bold Italic122.00×𝒌𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒊
Wide / Fullwidth61.00×kawaii

2 of the 5 styles come out longer than plain text — because the replacement letters live outside the Basic Multilingual Plane and cost two UTF-16 units each. Script is the most expensive at 2.00×, so a name that barely fits a fixed field limit in plain letters will not fit in that style. Shorten the word first, then switch styles.

The other 3 (Circled, Small Caps, Wide / Fullwidth) replace each letter one-for-one, so they never change the length of your text. If a field is already tight, start from these and only reach for the combining styles where there is room to spare.

Symbol set check

228 symbols across 4 sets, measured rather than counted by eye. The last column matters more than the total: symbols outside the Basic Multilingual Plane are drawn from the colour-emoji font, cost two UTF-16 units each, and are the ones that render as a hollow box on older Android builds and some in-app browsers.

SetSymbolsOutside BMPShare
Hearts443477%
Smileys & Faces807594%
Music & Sound534687%
Flowers & Nature514792%

202 of the 228 (89%) sit outside the BMP. Smileys & Faces is the riskiest set at 94%, because most of those are full-colour emoji rather than simple line glyphs. Everything else is old, well-supported blocks — arrows, borders, dividers and math symbols have shipped in system fonts for decades and render nearly everywhere, though they do not always keep the same width as surrounding text.

Two consequences for the field you are pasting into. First, a row of twelve colour emoji can cost 24 units, so a decorated bio line burns through a character limit twice as fast as it looks. Second, if the same set looks crisp on your phone and shows boxes on a friend's, the glyphs are the reason — swap the emoji-heavy sets for arrows or borders, which are plain text glyphs everywhere.

FAQ

Do kawaii fonts work on WhatsApp?

Yes — WhatsApp also has built-in *bold* and _italic_ markup; Unicode styles work in names where markup is not allowed. Just copy and paste; no app or font install needed.

How do I change my profile name or About on WhatsApp?

Copy a style here, then go to Settings > your profile > Name or About and paste it in.

Which kawaii style should I pick for WhatsApp?

Start with the one that keeps the length at 1.00x in the table above — those swap letters for letters, so profile name or About accepts them at full length. Reach for the combining styles (strikethrough, underline, zalgo) only when the field has room to spare, and check the character count before saving.
