20+ Unicode styles update as you type — tap Copy on any row.
Type once and watch your words flip into 26 cool Unicode styles — heavy bold, wide spaced letters, boxed characters and glitchy fraktur, all rendered live as you type.
Every style is real Unicode text, not an image: copy any row and paste it straight into your bio, gamertag, Discord nickname or captions with no font install required.
What makes text look cool?
Cool-looking text leans on contrast: mixing a heavy style like 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘀 with a sparse style like wide letters creates rhythm that plain ASCII cannot. Try pairing one bold row with one spaced row for headers and subtitles in the same post.
Quick examples
What gets converted
The preview above uses the Sans-Serif Bold style. Measured coverage: 26/26 uppercase, 26/26 lowercase, 10/10 digits — every uppercase letter, lowercase letter and digit is covered. Typed length grows 1.00×.
Switching styles
All styles on this site are interchangeable: the plain text is the source of truth and each style is a one-way view of it. If a converted string has gaps, switch to another style from the same words rather than editing the decorated output — editing decorated text tends to mix two styles inside one word.
Pasting
Output is plain Unicode, so it works in chat apps, bios, captions and usernames without any install. Rendering depends on the fonts on the viewing device, so check on a phone before publishing.
Measured: what each style does to your text
Every number below comes from running the styles in this page's tool over the same test word, stay cool (9 UTF-16 units). "Units" is how apps actually count a field: characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (most emoji, some decorative letters) count as two. Plain text is the baseline at 1.00×.
| Style | Units | vs plain | Stays plain text |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sans-Serif Bold | 17 | 1.89× | 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹 |
| Sans-Serif | 17 | 1.89× | 𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗒 𝖼𝗈𝗈𝗅 |
| Bold (Serif) | 17 | 1.89× | 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐥 |
| Monospace | 17 | 1.89× | 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚢 𝚌𝚘𝚘𝚕 |
4 of the 4 styles come out longer than plain text — because the replacement letters live outside the Basic Multilingual Plane and cost two UTF-16 units each. Sans-Serif Bold is the most expensive at 1.89×, so a name that barely fits a fixed field limit in plain letters will not fit in that style. Shorten the word first, then switch styles.
Swapping this style for another
The three alternatives measured above — Sans-Serif, Bold (Serif), Monospace — are the ones this page shows up alongside most often, and any of them can be reached from the same plain text. Because every style is a one-way view of the original string, the swap is safe as long as you re-run the original words: converting an already-styled string through a second style produces characters the second style does not recognise, and you get a word with two alphabets inside it.
Gaming and clan tags are the tightest fields on this site: the name has to survive a squad list, a scoreboard column and a kill feed, all at around 10px. Sans-bold is the right default there for one reason the table makes visible — it converts every letter and digit, so a tag never ends up half styled. Plain sans is the safer swap if the game renders the bold weight so heavily that counters fill in.

FAQ
Is cool text the same as a font?
No — these are Unicode character swaps, so they paste as plain text everywhere a font would not travel: bios, chat, comments and game names.
Which cool styles work on TikTok?
Wide, bold sans and glitch fraktur all survive TikTok captions and comments; keep it under 20 characters so it does not truncate.
Why do some letters stay plain?
A few Unicode math blocks skip rare letters like Q or W; the generator keeps the original character so your word still reads correctly.
