Cool letters are Unicode alphabets with attitude: 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘀, 🅽🅴🅶🅰🆃🅸🆅🅴-🅲🅸🆁🅲🅻🅴🅳, ɟuop-ǝsᴉd up-ɹǝpuo and more — every one copy-paste ready.
This page renders your word in all 26 alphabets live, so a gamertag, clan tag or Discord nickname takes seconds instead of scrolling through symbol pages.
Cool letters for gaming names
The letters that read as cool in-game are the heavy ones: bold sans, squared and double-struck. Upside-down letters are the wildcard — great for Among Us or lobby pranks, risky anywhere you need fast recognition.
Quick examples
What gets converted
The preview above uses the Double-Struck style. Measured coverage: 26/26 uppercase, 26/26 lowercase, 10/10 digits — every uppercase letter, lowercase letter and digit is covered. Typed length grows 1.00×.
Switching styles
All styles on this site are interchangeable: the plain text is the source of truth and each style is a one-way view of it. If a converted string has gaps, switch to another style from the same words rather than editing the decorated output — editing decorated text tends to mix two styles inside one word.
Pasting
Output is plain Unicode, so it works in chat apps, bios, captions and usernames without any install. Rendering depends on the fonts on the viewing device, so check on a phone before publishing.
Measured: what each style does to your text
Every number below comes from running the styles in this page's tool over the same test word, clan up (7 UTF-16 units). "Units" is how apps actually count a field: characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (most emoji, some decorative letters) count as two. Plain text is the baseline at 1.00×.
| Style | Units | vs plain | Stays plain text |
|---|---|---|---|
| Double-Struck | 13 | 1.86× | 𝕔𝕝𝕒𝕟 𝕦𝕡 |
| Bold (Serif) | 13 | 1.86× | 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐮𝐩 |
| Fraktur | 13 | 1.86× | 𝔠𝔩𝔞𝔫 𝔲𝔭 |
| Monospace | 13 | 1.86× | 𝚌𝚕𝚊𝚗 𝚞𝚙 |
4 of the 4 styles come out longer than plain text — because the replacement letters live outside the Basic Multilingual Plane and cost two UTF-16 units each. Double-Struck is the most expensive at 1.86×, so a name that barely fits a fixed field limit in plain letters will not fit in that style. Shorten the word first, then switch styles.
Swapping this style for another
The three alternatives measured above — Bold (Serif), Fraktur, Monospace — are the ones this page shows up alongside most often, and any of them can be reached from the same plain text. Because every style is a one-way view of the original string, the swap is safe as long as you re-run the original words: converting an already-styled string through a second style produces characters the second style does not recognise, and you get a word with two alphabets inside it.
Double-struck reads as technical rather than decorative, which is why it works for clan names and username handles and looks odd in a bio. It covers the full alphabet and all ten digits, so a tag mixing letters and numbers stays consistent — the failure mode with the partial styles is a number sitting in the middle of a styled word in plain type.

FAQ
Do cool letters work in Roblox?
Roblox display names accept most Unicode letters, so bold and squared styles work; actual usernames stay ASCII-only.
Why does upside-down text look reversed?
It maps each letter to its flipped twin and reverses the order, so the word reads correctly when the line is rotated — a party trick that still pastes as text.
Are cool letters free to use?
Yes — Unicode characters are text, so there is nothing to license or subscribe to.
