Text Generator to Image

Turn styled text into an image: pick a Unicode font style, size and color, then download your text as a PNG for thumbnails and banners.

Type your text, pick any of 26 Unicode styles, choose a size and color — this tool renders it to a crisp PNG you can download and drop into thumbnails, banners, posters or anywhere images beat pasted text.

Everything happens in your browser on an HTML canvas: no upload, no server, no watermark, and the PNG is yours the moment you click download.

When text should become an image

Pasted Unicode text wins inside bios and chats, but images win where fonts collapse: YouTube thumbnails, Discord server banners, Etsy listings and print. Rendering styled text to PNG freezes the exact look on every screen.

What gets converted

The preview above uses the Sans-Serif Bold style. Measured coverage: 26/26 uppercase, 26/26 lowercase, 10/10 digits — every uppercase letter, lowercase letter and digit is covered. Typed length grows 1.00×.

Why coverage matters more for images

Turning text into a PNG removes the viewer's fonts from the equation: the glyphs are baked in when you press download, so whatever your browser can draw is exactly what everyone else sees. That makes styles with full letter and digit coverage the safest pick for picture output — Sans-Serif Bold is one of them whenever the counter above reads 26/26 and 10/10. Styles with gaps will bake a visibly mixed alphabet into the file with no way to fix it afterwards, so check the preview before downloading rather than after.

Tip: render on a transparent background if the image will sit on a coloured post or story — a white box on a dark feed is the most common complaint about text-to-image tools.

Pasting

Output is plain Unicode, so it works in chat apps, bios, captions and usernames without any install. Rendering depends on the fonts on the viewing device, so check on a phone before publishing.

Pixel size: what the export actually costs

Five sample words — the shortest (new drop) and longest (dark academia) of the examples on this page — rendered at each font size, measured in pixels with the canvas default font. The range tells you which size survives the layout you are filling: a 120px render of a long word runs past the width of a phone story card, while 48px fits a caption or sticker slot.

Two export facts worth knowing. First, transparency: a transparent-background PNG of the same word comes out smaller on disk than a white-background one, because the empty pixels compress to nothing — the 64px renders above differ by roughly 1.3 KB for identical text. Second, the input is capped at 40 characters for a reason: at 64px that ceiling renders about 1280px wide, and at 120px it stretches past 2400px — wider than most platforms will accept as a story background, so shorter words survive more size options.

FAQ

What resolution do I get?

The PNG exports at 3x the preview size, so text stays sharp on retina screens and in print layouts up to a few inches wide.

Can I get a transparent background?

Yes — tick Transparent background and the PNG keeps alpha, ready to layer over photos or colored panels. Need a dedicated transparent-export page? The PNG generator covers exactly that.

Does the image have a watermark?

No. The canvas renders locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded and no watermark is added.
