Superscript Text Generator — Copy & Paste

Turn text into superscript Unicode (ˢᵘᵖᵉʳˢᶜʳⁱᵖᵗ) for exponents, footnotes and bios. Type once, copy the tiny raised letters, paste anywhere. Free.

The superscript version updates as you type — tap Copy.

This superscript text generator converts your plain text into raised Unicode letters — the same tiny characters used for exponents, footnotes and trademark-style notes.

Because superscript is real Unicode text, it works in Instagram bios, Discord messages, tweets and comments — no formatting toolbar or rich-text editor needed.

Every letter and digit the Superscript style converts, generated by the same engine that powers the tool above — so this table and the live output can never drift apart. A dash means the style has no variant for that character and it comes out unchanged.

Coverage

Partial coverage: 18 of 26 uppercase, 25 of 26 lowercase and 10 of 10 digits have a dedicated variant in Superscript. Left in plain text: uppercase C F Q S W X Y Z; lowercase q. Those characters keep their normal shape, so a converted word can visibly mix two alphabets — worth knowing if the string has to look uniform where it lands.

Length behaviour

One character in, one character out — measured 1.00× on the alphabet. A 20-character username stays 20 characters, which is why this style survives fields with tight limits such as game nicknames or profile names.

Is it reversible?

Not losslessly. Characters without a variant are left alone and the mapping is not one-to-one, so a round trip through the style can come back slightly different. Keep the plain version if you may need to undo the effect later.

Pasting and platform support

These are ordinary Unicode characters rather than images, so they paste as text into Discord, Instagram, TikTok, X, WhatsApp, Roblox, Minecraft chat and any other field that accepts Unicode. Whether a specific app shows them depends on the fonts installed on the device doing the rendering, so preview the result on the phone you will publish from. The symbol library is handy for padding a styled name with matching decorations.

FAQ

What is superscript text?

Small raised Unicode letters that look like exponents — x², ᵗʰ, ™. They paste as normal text anywhere Unicode is accepted.

Which letters have superscript versions?

Most lowercase letters and digits have true superscript forms. A few (like q) don't exist in Unicode and stay as normal letters.
